Lots of various videos on drawing, watercolor, oil, landscape portraits etc. some good some not, but a reasonable way to learn. The ones that I found the best were:
-Daniel Green Portrait Drawing and some of his portrait painting ones, but you don’t need to mix his color chart and palette like he does that’s a waste of time.He has three videos rent them all. Oil, Pastel, Drawing.

California Art Club (CAC)
Located in Pasadena is great club. Although you can only really become a painting patron member (means you can’t join in competitions etc.) but you get the newletter and lots of information there.

American Society of Portrait Artist
They have a meeting once a year and a competition.

Plein Air Painters of American (PAPA)
They have great painters and sometime offer special educational opportunities with their members. Worth looking them up.
